Bose has released the second generation of its QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. The new model offers improved sound quality and even stronger noise cancellation, keeping its place as one of the top wireless earbuds on the market.

The earbuds look similar to the first generation, with a stem design and rounded body. They come with stability bands that hook into the ear for a secure fit. Bose includes three sizes of silicone tips in the box.
Battery life remains the same as the previous model—up to 6 hours per charge with ANC on, and 24 hours with the charging case. The company’s Immersive Audio feature is included, which offers spatial sound with head tracking, but it significantly reduces battery life to around 4 hours.
The earbuds support AAC, SBC, and aptX Adaptive codecs for high-resolution audio streaming. Bluetooth multipoint allows connection to two devices at once. Touch controls on the stems are responsive and customizable via the Bose app.
Noise cancellation is where the QC Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) stand out. They effectively block background noises like keyboard typing, conversations, and traffic sounds. There are three modes: Quiet (full ANC), Aware (transparency mode), and Immersive (spatial audio).
Sound quality has been refined with better bass response and smoother highs. The earbuds deliver a balanced and engaging performance suitable for various music genres. While some competitors may offer more detail in the mid-range, the Bose model holds its own with a powerful and cohesive sound.
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) are available now. They are ideal for those who prioritize noise cancellation and comfort, though battery life remains unchanged from the first generation.
