Marshall has released the Kilburn III, the latest version of its popular portable Bluetooth speaker. It brings better sound, a more premium design, and greatly improved battery life.

The Kilburn III keeps the classic Marshall look with a leather-style finish, metal grilles, and vintage-style controls. It has a comfortable carry handle and tactile knobs on top for adjusting volume, bass, and treble. However, its IP54 rating means it’s only protected against splashes—not full water immersion.
Battery life is a major upgrade. The Kilburn III can play music for up to 50 hours on a single charge, much longer than many competing speakers in its class. It also supports USB-C charging and can even charge other devices from its port.
Through the Marshall app, users can customize the sound with a 5-band equalizer or choose from preset sound profiles. There’s also a “Position Compensation” feature that tweaks the audio based on where the speaker is placed—near a wall, in a corner, or out in the open.
Sound quality is clear and powerful, with strong bass that stays clean even at high volumes. The Kilburn III uses True Stereo sound, so the audio is full and detailed from any angle. It doesn’t support high-resolution Bluetooth codecs like LDAC or aptX Adaptive, but most listeners will still enjoy the performance.
Other features include Bluetooth multipoint, fast pairing, and Auracast support. There’s no built-in microphone for phone calls, and it doesn’t support multi-speaker pairing like some JBL models.
The Kilburn III is available now at a higher price than the previous generation. It’s being marketed as a style-forward speaker with long battery life and customizable sound rather than a rugged outdoor model.
