The new QuietComfort Ultra Headphones look similar to the previous version, but Bose made key improvements inside. The company’s CustomTune technology works even better now, automatically adjusting sound and noise cancellation to fit the user’s ears.

Bose says people can expect stronger noise blocking in any environment. There’s also an improved Aware Mode that lets outside sound in more naturally. A new Cinema Mode offers a wider soundstage and clearer dialogue.

The headphones support Bluetooth 5.4 and codecs like SBC, AAC, and AptX Adaptive. Battery life is slightly better—up to 30 hours with ANC on and 45 hours with it off.

They’re still lightweight at 583 grams and come with soft ear cushions and a synthetic leather headband. There’s still no IP rating for water or dust resistance, so they aren’t meant for sports or heavy rain. The Bose Music app only includes a basic 3-band EQ without deeper sound customization options.
