If you’re looking for high-end wireless earbuds, two models stand out: the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) and the Bowers & Wilkins Pi8. Each offers something special, whether it’s industry-leading noise cancellation or refined audio quality.

The Bose QC Ultra Earbuds come with a secure fit thanks to their stabilizing wingtips. They include three sizes of silicone tips. The B&W Pi8 offers four sizes and a premium look and feel, though some users might need extra effort to get a perfect seal.
Bose offers up to 6 hours of battery per charge, with 24 hours total including the case. The Pi8 delivers around 6.5 hours with noise canceling on and 20 hours with the charging case.
Both support Bluetooth multipoint and touch controls. Bose features immersive audio with spatial sound support. The Pi8 doesn’t have spatial audio, but its case works as a wireless audio transmitter—great for in-flight entertainment or older devices.
When it comes to noise cancellation, Bose performs strongly, effectively blocking sudden loud sounds and daily noise. The Pi8 does a good job with low rumbles like traffic or trains but isn’t quite as powerful with high-frequency noise.
For call quality, both perform well. The Pi8 delivers natural and clear voice pickup, while Bose does better at blocking background noise during calls.
Sound quality is where the B&W Pi8 shines. It offers rich, detailed sound across all frequencies with a refined listening experience. The Bose earbuds also improved with deeper bass and smoother highs compared to earlier models.
These are both premium wireless earbuds. Your choice depends on what matters most: best-in-class active noise cancellation (Bose) or superior sound performance (B&W).
