Google announced today its Veo 3 AI video generator has produced over 70 million videos since its May launch. The tool, now available globally, lets anyone type words to make HD videos with sound and dialogue – all for free through Google’s platforms.

Businesses are adopting Veo 3 rapidly. After June’s preview release on Google’s Vertex AI service, companies created more than 6 million videos for product demos, ads, and social content. A faster version called Veo 3 Fast also launched today, turning text into videos "in seconds" according to Google engineers.

Next month brings bigger upgrades. In August, Google will test a "picture-to-video" feature on Vertex AI. Users can upload any photo, add a text description, and watch it transform into a moving scene – like turning a sunset photo into a beach wave video.

The numbers show explosive growth: Veo 3 averaged over 1.3 million daily video creations since May. Google hasn’t shared how many users this represents, but confirmed most videos come from individual creators.

Veo 3’s key advantage is its audio integration. Unlike earlier AI video tools that made silent clips, it automatically adds background sounds and spoken dialogue matching the visual content.
