Apple might be adding an "Air" to its iPhone lineup. Tech leakers and sites report a new model, the iPhone 17 Air, focusing on ultra-thin design. If accurate, it would become Apple's slimmest iPhone to date.

According to frequent source @MajinBuOfficial, the iPhone 17 Air measures just about 5.5mm thick and weighs 146 grams. This makes it slightly heavier than the old iPhone 6s (143g) but significantly thinner than current models. The phone is expected to take the place of the iPhone 17 Plus in the lineup, offering a design-focused alternative.

The leak highlights a new "Sky Blue" color as the signature shade for this model. This bright, modern blue reportedly takes inspiration from recent MacBook Air colors. The iPhone 17 Air would also come in standard Black and White, plus a subtler "White Gold" option.

Positioned similarly to the MacBook Air, this iPhone aims for minimalism and lightness. It targets users who prioritize sleek looks and easy carrying.

Apple hasn't confirmed the iPhone 17 Air exists. However, multiple tech outlets are now reporting the details. If the rumors hold, expect to see it officially revealed at Apple's usual September event alongside the standard iPhone 17. Pro, and Pro Max models.
