Samsung’s first triple-fold phone won’t arrive this summer. Instead, company mobile chief TM Roh confirmed the device is now planned for "late 2025." as teams focus on "perfecting the product and its usability."

Roh told The Korea Times development is ongoing: "We are working on launching a triple-fold phone by the end of this year." He added that even the phone’s name remains undecided, though Samsung will "make a final decision soon."
Previous leaks suggested the phone might be called "Galaxy G Fold." This name hints at its unique folding style: two inward folds creating a "G" shape when closed. This differs from Huawei’s triple-fold Mate XT, which uses one inward and one outward fold, forming a "Z" shape with a single flexible screen inside and out.
Samsung had been expected to tease the triple-fold device during its July Galaxy Z Fold7 launch event. The extra development time pushes its arrival to the year’s end.
