iPhone owners worldwide are reporting serious problems with their Mail app. Since installing Apple's iOS 18.5 update in mid-May, many find the app crashes instantly or shows only a blank screen when opened.

The issues appear widespread, with users flooding platforms like Reddit, Apple forums, and MacRumors with complaints this week. Tech watchers suspect the glitch might be triggered by specific account settings or background processes, though nobody knows for sure.
People are trying quick fixes: restarting phones, force-closing the Mail app, turning off keyboard autocorrect, or deleting and reinstalling the app. But results are mixed – some fixes work temporarily, others fail completely.
Apple hasn’t acknowledged the problem publicly. Its system status page still shows Mail services as "operational," leaving users waiting for an official solution. Whether this requires another software update or backend adjustments remains unclear as Apple’s annual developer conference kicks off in Silicon Valley.
