Apple is gearing up to redefine smartphone design with a radical new iPhone dubbed “Glasswing,” Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. Set for a 2027 launch to mark the iPhone’s 20th anniversary, the device will feature a seamless, edge-to-edge glass body—no notches, bezels, or visible camera holes.

The All-Glass Vision

The “Glasswing” iPhone aims to eliminate every physical interruption on its display. Face ID sensors and front cameras will sit invisibly beneath the screen, while a “four-sided curved” design—developed with Samsung and LG Display—creates a borderless surface. Gurman calls it “unlike any curved screen seen before,” blending advanced materials like titanium with Apple’s signature minimalism.

Folding Phones and Smart Glasses

Alongside the Glasswing, Apple plans its first foldable iPhone, targeting late 2026. The device, rumored to use a crease-free display and titanium frame, could rival Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold. A smart glasses project is also underway, packing cameras, mics, and speakers to challenge Meta’s Ray-Ban collabs. These glasses would integrate with Apple’s “Visual Intelligence” features, hinting at AR-powered interactions.

Siri’s AI Makeover

By 2027. Siri is expected to ditch robotic replies for natural conversations, powered by custom AI server chips and large language models. The upgrade, originally slated for iOS 19. now aligns with iOS 20.

Dubbed a “product renaissance” internally, Apple’s 2027 roadmap signals a push beyond incremental updates. From bendable screens to invisible tech, the company bets big on hardware to reignite its innovation streak.
