Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon will take the stage at COMPUTEX 2025 to highlight how the Snapdragon X platform and AI are reshaping the future of PCs, the company confirmed today. Amon’s keynote will focus on AI-enhanced experiences for consumers, businesses, and industries, signaling Qualcomm’s aggressive push into the PC market.

The Snapdragon X platform, developed through a decade-long partnership with Microsoft, aims to challenge traditional x86 laptops with faster performance and longer battery life. Recent improvements in software compatibility for Windows on Arm devices have helped expand the platform’s appeal to casual users for tasks like web browsing and light office work.
Despite progress, challenges remain. Many third-party apps and hardware drivers still struggle with full compatibility on Snapdragon X systems, as Microsoft’s ecosystem continues to prioritize x86 architecture. While compatibility has improved since 2023. some software and peripherals may not function smoothly—a hurdle Qualcomm and Microsoft are working to address.
The Snapdragon X platform’s growth aligns with Microsoft’s renewed focus on Arm-based Windows devices, though broader adoption will depend on further ecosystem support. Amon’s COMPUTEX address is expected to outline Qualcomm’s roadmap for closing this gap and delivering a seamless AI-driven PC experience.
