Apple is prepping a major product shakeup for 2027, aiming to reignite innovation after years of incremental updates, Bloomberg reports. The plan includes a foldable iPhone, AI-powered smart glasses, revamped Siri, and even a household robot.

First up: A crease-free foldable iPhone with a titanium frame, set to debut alongside the iPhone 18 lineup in late 2026. Priced higher than rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold, it’ll feature a "mostly glass" redesign for the iPhone’s 20th anniversary.
Next, Apple’s AI glasses—a direct challenger to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart specs—will pack cameras, mics, and custom chips to analyze surroundings. New AirPods and Apple Watch models with cameras will also push visual AI features.
Siri gets a long-awaited overhaul, powered by Apple’s own AI server chips and rebuilt using advanced language models. The smarter assistant, delayed from iOS 19, is slated for iOS 20.
The wildcard? A tabletop robot with a mechanical arm and a “personality-driven AI assistant.” Tied to a delayed smart home hub, it’s part of Apple’s push into home robotics.
While timelines remain fluid, Apple eyes a 2028 hybrid device merging a foldable iPad with a touchscreen Mac. Analysts warn the gamble risks alienating fans who prefer reliability over flashy tech.
“They’re racing to prove they’re still innovators,” said one industry watcher. “But will people buy a robot that chats with them?”
