Google Maps is rolling out a new feature that turns your iPhone screenshots into saved locations—no typing required. Dubbed “Screenshot Search,” the tool uses AI (powered by Gemini) to scan images for addresses, restaurant names, or landmarks, then pins them directly to your Maps lists.

To try it, open the "You" tab in Google Maps, tap the "Screenshots" banner, and grant photo access. The app scans your gallery for relevant shots, like that café your friend texted or a travel blog’s must-visit spot. Worried about privacy? Google says the feature only works with your permission, and you can toggle it off anytime.

Currently exclusive to U.S. iPhone users, the tool aims to simplify trip planning. Android fans will get it later, though Google hasn’t set a date.

No word on costs—it’s free for now. Just snap, save, and explore.
