Apple’s next-gen smartwatch, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, is set to launch this fall with three major upgrades aimed at adventurers and health-conscious users.

1. Hypertension Detection
For the first time, the Ultra 3 will warn users about potential high blood pressure, similar to its sleep apnea alerts. While it won’t provide exact readings, it flags if your levels suggest hypertension. Insiders say Apple has spent years fine-tuning this feature.
2. Satellite Messaging Without iPhone
Hikers and explorers can ditch their iPhones: the Ultra 3 will send texts via Globalstar satellites when off-grid. The tech, already available on iPhones, now extends to Apple Watch, letting users stay connected in remote areas.
3. 5G Cellular Connectivity
The Ultra 3 jumps to 5G, using a low-power "Redcap" version to balance speed and battery life. Previous Ultra models maxed out at 4G LTE.
Mark Gurman, a longtime Apple leaker, first reported the details. The upgrades aim to cement the Ultra line as the go-to for outdoor enthusiasts. No price tag yet, but the current Ultra 2 starts at $799.
Apple hasn’t confirmed the launch date, but fall releases are typical. Fans speculate longer battery life could be next in leaks.
“This could redefine smartwatches for extreme sports,” said a tech blogger tracking the rumors.
