Samsung just accidentally confirmed its next‑generation wireless earbuds. The Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro appeared on the Samsung Members app’s support page, spotted by reliable leaker Alfatürk on X. The listing suggests both models are real, and they’re coming soon—likely on February 25. alongside the Galaxy S26 series.

Here’s the full picture based on leaks, FCC filings, and the Samsung Members slip‑up.

Launch Date: February 25 Looks Likely

The Samsung Members screenshot shows dedicated support entries for the Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro. Those pages are normally used for troubleshooting and user feedback. If Samsung is already preparing售后 support documentation, a launch is imminent. The February 25 date ties directly to the expected Galaxy Unpacked event for the S26. It would be odd to announce a flagship phone without updated earbuds.

Design: Stem Style, Refined

Leaked renders from Evan Blass (evleaks) show the Buds 4 Pro keeping the stem design introduced with the Buds 3 series, but with smoother, more rounded contours. The stem is still there—Samsung seems committed to the AirPods‑like form factor, at least for the Pro model. The standard Buds 4 will likely share a similar aesthetic but with fewer premium materials.

A new color option is rumored for the Pro model. The current Buds 3 Pro come in white, black, and a few muted tones. A third “fresh” color (maybe a silver or light blue) could debut.

FCC Filings Reveal Hardware Details

Documents from the FCC (US certification body) list the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro under model number SM-R640. Key specs extracted:

Bluetooth & BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) support – standard for LE Audio and better battery efficiency.

3.85V DC power supply – that’s higher than the typical 3.7V or 3.8V cells in most TWS earbuds. Higher voltage usually means either a different battery chemistry or a multi‑cell configuration. The practical result: potentially longer runtimes per charge without increasing physical size.

New charging case design – FCC drawings suggest a “boxier, more rectangular” case, moving away from the pill‑shaped case of the Buds 3 Pro. Think more like a flattened square.

Battery Life: Samsung’s Target

No official numbers yet, but the 3.85V battery hints that Samsung is chasing class‑leading endurance. Google’s Pixel Buds Pro 2 are known for excellent battery life (around 11 hours with ANC off). Apple’s AirPods 4 (non‑Pro) offer about 6 hours. If Samsung can push the Buds 4 Pro to 8–9 hours with ANC on, that would be a strong selling point.

No Word on Audio or ANC Upgrades

The leaks so far focus on design, battery, and certification. We don’t know if Samsung will upgrade the drivers, add new codecs (Samsung’s Scalable Codec is already decent), or improve noise cancellation. The Buds 3 Pro already have very good ANC. The 4 Pro will likely refine it, but nothing concrete yet.

Competition: AirPods and Pixel Buds

Apple reportedly won’t release new AirPods in 2026. so Samsung has a clear shot. The Buds 4 series will directly compete with the AirPods 4 (and AirPods Pro 2. which are getting long in the tooth) and Google’s Pixel Buds Pro 2. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are stem‑less and smaller—a different philosophy. Samsung’s stem design appeals to users who like the AirPods fit but want Samsung’s ecosystem integration (seamless switching, proprietary codec, Samsung Find app).

When to Expect the Full Announcement

All signs point to February 25. 2026, at the Galaxy Unpacked event. That’s when we’ll get official pricing (expect $199–$229 for the Pro, $129–$149 for the standard Buds 4), final specs, and a release date. Until then, treat these as solid leaks but not gospel.

Bottom line: Samsung is clearly polishing its next TWS flagship. The higher‑voltage battery and redesigned case are meaningful changes. If they also improve the already‑good sound and ANC, the Buds 4 Pro could be the Android‑friendly AirPods alternative to beat in 2026.
