Sony just launched its newest Cinema Line camera – the full-frame FX2. Designed for creators who shoot both video and photos, it packs professional features into a lightweight body.

The FX2 uses a 33-million-pixel sensor for sharp images and smooth background blur. It handles tough lighting with dual ISO settings (800 and 4000) and shoots clearly in near-darkness. Filmmakers get flexible tools: 4K video at 60fps (recording up to 13 hours non-stop), slow-motion options, and instant color previews. A physical switch lets users jump between video and photo modes fast.
Built for handheld work, the camera weighs just 1.5 pounds (679g) with built-in stabilization. Its new tracking autofocus locks onto people, animals, or vehicles automatically. Helpful extras include breathing compensation for focus shifts and framing tools that keep subjects centered – even when moving.
Flip-out touchscreens and a customizable viewfinder make shooting flexible. Vertical video displays rotate for social media creators. The body includes multiple mounting points and works with an optional grip adding professional mic inputs.
Connectivity covers HDMI 4K output, fast USB-C, and dual Wi-Fi. Sony notes the FX2 is produced using renewable energy.
